Update from Africa!
Peterson K was seen on 24/09/2009 by Mary, who is a representative of The Hotcourses Foundation in Africa. The following report was made:
Peterson is a class one student in St. Lukes Academy. Before he joined St. Lukes he was in Waithaka Riverside School. He is seven years old. He was position 19 out 20 in the second term (May to July) but promised to work hard this term (September to November). His best subject is Kiswahili. He likes to play with Aeroplane with his best friend Ian. He likes the school very much. They are provided 10 o’clock tea with no snacks and also provided lunch at school.
He lives with his mother, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. He is the cousin to Susan who is also sponsored by Hotcourses Foundation. He would like to be a pilot when he grows up.
Peterson K
Peterson is a 9 year old boy and comes from a family of seven. The family depends on his aunt, a hairdresser. She used to earn a living through commissions but recently the saloon was closed. She is trying to put her own child through secondary school. The family is supportive of Peterson but they lack resources such as finances to take him to school. Peterson is willing to learn only he has been sick of late but is getting better.
School sponsorship start date: January 2008
