Update from Africa!
Ivy was seen on 03/03/2010 by Mary, who is a representative of The Hotcourses Foundation in Africa. The following report was made:
Ivy is in class 5 at Tender Care Primary School. Her best subject is Maths, and her best teacher is called Mr. Alex her maths teacher. She loves singing. She likes her school also which has a good environment. She lives with her Auntie and 3 cousins. She helps them to clean utensils, clear and wipe the tale after eating. That day Ivy was complaining of some chest pains. She said a big thank you for the sponsorship. Ivy would like to be a Musician when she grows up.
Ivy
Ivy is 13 years old and an orphan. She lives with her aunt and 3 cousins and sometimes stays with her grandmother. When her parents passed away, her aunt was unaware of their HIV-AIDs status. When Ivy became ill in 2002 she took her for a test at the Lea Toto outreach program in Kariobangi; since then Ivy has been taking Septrine.
Ivy is at school where languages are her favorite subject. She loves playing with a skipping rope with her friends and would love to be an English teacher when she grows up.
