Update from Africa!
Moses N was seen on 10/06/2010 by Mary, who is a representative of The Hotcourses Foundation in Africa. The following report was made:
Moses likes to dance to gully creeper song, which is from Jamaica’s best reggae musician Elephant man. He is in class 8 at Lighthouse Grace Academy. He goes home for lunch which is quite a distance from school but for him he has no choice. His preferred subject is maths. He likes his school because of the teachers and the way they are taught. He has a problem with his eyes and unfortunately his mother cannot afford to buy him spectacles. He lives with his mother and his brother. He helps them to clean utensils only since he has to put more effort in his studies for him to pass and join a good secondary school. Moses story is very touching on how he got the HIV virus since his parent is negative. When he was young he got sick and needed a blood transfusion. Those days some hospitals were ignorant in screening the blood before transfusion and that is how he got the virus. Sorry to say that later the hospital burned down and the evidence was destroyed leaving the family with nothing to prove. Moses appreciates the sponsorship and asks the Lord to bless the sponsor.

Moses stays with his mother who is separated from his father. Moses has 2 older brothers who work in odd casual jobs, a younger brother and an adopted younger sister. Moses began with Lea Toto in May 2008, he is 17 years old and is the only one in the family in the programme and on antiretroviral treatment. He would love to become a pilot and his favourite subject is French.
