Update from Africa!
Winfrida A was seen on 20/01/2010 by Mary, who is a representative of The Hotcourses Foundation in Africa. The following report was made:
Winfrida is now 15 years old. She is in class 6 at Three Bells primary school. Her best subjects are English and Science. She likes skipping rope with her friends. The school does not provide lunch so she goes home for lunch. The school has a very cool and nice environment for studying. Last year’s end of third term exam, Winfrida was position 16 out of 26 students with total marks of 246 out 500 marks; but had to close school earlier than her schoolmates, because of her sick arm. She lives with her older sister who has 3 daughters. She is in the same school with one her sister’s daughters. She helps them to clean utensils and clean the house. She appreciates the support given to her. Winfrida would like to be an Engineer when she grows up.

Winfrida is the fourth born in a family of four and an orphan. She is 16 years old in the care of her elder sister who has four children of her own. Her sister struggles to raise all of them and due to lack of money and other resources she is unable to provide for all their needs.
Wifrida's sister is a Community Health Worker with Lea Toto but she still needs assistance to support Winfrida with her education. Winfrida used to just stay at home but she now is at school and wants to complete her education and become a cloth designer.
